Bear Flat (whose name is not derived from the animal but the anglo-saxon word for settlement) is a much-loved, thriving community just South of Bath. It lies betwixt Beechen Cliff and Hayesfield Secondary Schools and also between Moorlands, Widcombe and St John's Primaries.
Just above the Flat is the heavily treelined and lovely Alexandra Park with large play-park and gorgeous urban City Views(pictured). In May each year, the Bear Flat Artists open their doors with exhibitions throughout the area - showing off Bear Flat's artistic prowess and togetherness.
